These are not related, at least I don't believe they are. P0171 is a lean code often caused by a leaky intake or a very dirty air filter. C0561 is an electronic brake control module and set by any fault in the braking system like bad wheel bearings, connectors, cables, low brake fluid and so on. The thing is it should be accompanied by an other code. C0561 means the system has bean disabled. So you probably have an idiot light on in the cluster. Try clearing these codes to see if they come back.
