Hello from new member

Hi everyone.

I bought a silver '08 LT Sport coupe in March. I love this car. The remote start is a wonderful feature. I wish the stereo had went louder. I don't really care for thumping bass though. Love the stereo controls on the steering wheel. The sunroof seems a little slow moving.

Is this website for people who are modifying their Cobalts or can anyone join?

Any words of advice on being a new Cobalt owner? Considered the Maza 6 when I was car shopping but didn't like the way it handled. It was too big anyway, but I was having a hard time finding anything I liked. I've owned Saturns for the past 16 years so this is a change for me.

Enjoy your Cobalt LT,I have a LT as well except no sunroof, not a huge fan of it.The cobalt is a nice car,Probably one of the good cars I have driven from Chevy including a celebrity stationwagon and a 79 camaro. Are you into modding at all? Most of the people on here mod their cars depending on what they like done though.

No I won't be modifying the car at all. I know nothing about cars other than to put gas in them and take it in to the dealer when it needs repairs.

I am enjoying the 2.4 engine. I know there are many cars that have bigger, faster engines. But after my 1.9 Saturns, this is a welcomed change.

I joined this club hoping it was similar to the Saturn club I belong to. That place has forums for mods, "how to", tech advice, etc. I mostly hang out in the general forums there.

MY 07 Cobalt

Hey I bought an 07 Cobalt Coupe Lt in October. I love the smooth ride and great pick up. One prob I am having thou is this.--> my wheel cover on the drivers side left front, sounds like its loose or cracked. ( from hitting a pot hole) Well the first time I took it in to the dealership, they did not hear the noise. Recently took it in again, they heard the noise. Thank God it's not in the tires thats broken. Well the dealership just lubed it and put all wheel Covers back on. I still hear the noise. It's only when I hit a bump in the road, other wise on a straight non bumpy road I dont hear it. So I might take it in again.
But other than that, my wife and I both own Cobalts, She has a 05 Cobalt sedan. Love my Car Just wanting to add cool stuff to it.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I belong to two other online clubs that use VBulletin. It's really easy to use. I'm just not really savy when it comes to avatars and pictures. That whole photo hosting idea is confusing to me. I usually just save the picture on my computer and attach it in my post. But I noticed that there isn't a "manage attachments" option here within my post. It might take me a while but I'll figure it out.

Just glad to be amongst people with good taste in cars.

Thats what you have to do. Just email Admin, tell him what you want, and give him your info. He'll mail them off to ya. And thanks for joining. If you have any questions about your car, it's almost a guarentee that someone on here will have an answer for you.

'05 Base Coupe, Blue, 2.2L, 5 speed manual, Too many mods to list in this signature. I'll just say insanely loud system, fully upgraded suspension (nothing original), Intake, Full Exhaust from the engine back, Rims, Tires, etc... Give me about a month to get back stateside and pics will be posted in the vBGarage.
