how to ...

read the boost gauge on a turbocharged cobalt ? this is my first time owning /driving a turbocharged car

well when you floor it and the gauge goes up, thats how many pounds of boost youre pulling. lol

anything above 0 on the gauge is boost (positive pressure). anything below, you're pulling a vacuum ie, low throttle, cruising.

is pulling a vacuum bad. cause i never reach positive pressure. its always at "0" unless i punch it

vacuuming isnt good.

idk what your knowledge of turbos are but it basically you wont start actually pulling boost unless you are over ~3k rpm (idk about the tc)

there is really no need to pull any boost in normal driving unless youre racing or passing. because boost=lower mpg.

under normal driving you really won't go into boost. Now if you aren't getting any boost under wot, that's bad. LOL.

on the way home i hit the gas kind hard and got up to 5k rpm and the boost gauge jumped from 0 to 15 in a heartbeat
