Angry Code P0141

This code came up on the Auto Zone code reader as Heat Sensor, bank 1 sensor 2, circuit malfunction, we changed the oxygen sensor, engine light was off for a day and came back on, we thought it may have been defective, took it back and same thing happened. We replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, ignition module, nothing seems to work and not it is not the gas cap either, has about 57,000 mi, it is a 05 Chevy Cobalt, 2.2. Anyone have any ideas?

P0141 HO2S 2 Heater Performance. -- after catalytic converter (not the one in the manifold)

According to the factory service manual when you replace any HO2S sensor you must erase all DTCs with the erase feature of a code reader to reset all the learn values. If you don't it says you can damage the new HO2S sensor.

Get someone who can scan the ECM:
Start engine
Command HO2S 2 to "ON"
Wait 15 seconds
Observe heater current parameter
value should be between 0.249 and 1.502 A

If not check EMISS fuse (as soon as I can find what the EMISS fuse is I'll add that!)
Look for grounding of the wiring (damage from exhaust heat too)
