Holy Crap!!!

Ok so i posted the new radio i go yesterday and i forgot to post what i found out. well i bought a wire harness from ebay cost $8.....pretty good i have no chime so i dont need the other $130 chime box crap. anyhow all the colors match up except the red power wire...well i got a fuse wire piece from autozone and tried it, seems it aint work worth crap cuz when i used it it never connected or received a signal. me and my homeboi's where out tryin to figure it out for about a hr. he tested inside his shop and it works we thought it didnt. so we took the piece off and just wired it like we would any switch to the fuse by wrapping it around and inserting it back in...yeah we have power....funny thing i came to see is there is a 2Amp fuse that says ignition switch. i tried that when i had used the piece from autozone no luck. i never put the fuse back in and when i tried to take the key out it wouldnt come out.....im like WTF NOW!!!! yelling cursing and fustrated almost broke the key...then i remembered the fuse...inserted it back in and heard a click, turn it and it comes out...since when did cars have a fuse to take your key out the ignition, aint that a biatch.

My key got stuck in my ignition once, because the somehow the power cable on my battery got disconnected. They key wont come out if your car doesnt have power.

its ****in stuiped if you ask me.

so i had to leave my car in the restaurant parkinglot with the damn key in the ignition, pray that no1 would steal my car, and go home and get my spare key. Open up the trunk and reattach the battery cable.

It's GM.

I once had an issue where the key wasn't stuck but the ignition it self was locked! i'd put the key in but it couldn't turn cause it was like locked! Finally I disconnected the bat for like 5 min and I guess that like resetted the system. Worked after that.

i still don't get the problems every one has. I have my chimes, turn signal sounds, etc... and never had trouble with the key since i put in my radio. The only issue i have is the way it works, it doesn't come on in "accessory", just in "start". Any way sounds like another amaizing move by "generous" motors... granted i love their car.

well it wasnt from the radio it was the fuse i took out. if you look in the fuse box under the passanger side theres a 2 amp fuse that controls the ingnition switch lock and unlock, take it out it will lock the key. you can start it but it wont release it.
