Alright, but how do I actually add the wires to those pin locations? Just want to make sure I do it right the first time. I can hit a local junkyard and get any parts I may need, I'm just not sure how to open up the P1 connector and add stuff to it since I've never messed with those particular connectors before. Again sorry for all the questions.
The hood switch harness will already have the pins on the ends of the wires, you just need to lift the grey tab and move the lever to the right. You will need to remove the red comb pin retainer. Insert them in the connector at the proper place. Once they bottom they lock into place. You will see how it works once you take it apart. I don't have any of my Cobalts anymore so I can't take pictures but I may have some archived.

I believe it is the one on the bottom right.

You know if you were to ask these questions on forum others would benefit from my answers.
