I have an '09 Cobalt LT Sedan. It was involved in a wreck that did not trigger any airbags. The driver door was damaged pretty bad and I found a door in the bone yard the identical color, I'm guessing from an earlier year. Then simply bolted it on. My problem is the airbag light is on in the dash and I'm getting a code that the L side sensor is bad. I'm guessing that the earlier sensor is different and is triggering the code. I plan to disconnect the battery and install the original sensor. I'm hoping this will solve my issue but I'm concerned the wiring may be different? Before I rip the door apart I'm wondering if I need to change the wiring or simply plug and play this sensor?
