With todays economy, many companies are not soocking what they sell. Once they get an order, then they order the item and have to wait for the item to be sent. It is quicker when there is only 2 steps in the process such ans the Tsudo, but when you are ordering a manufacturer item such as the GMPP, there are as many as 5 extra steps int he process as manufacturers do not make their own products.
That is why I follow one simple rule when I order anything of value(which in everything), I call the place up and ask if they can put their hands on the item now. If they cannot place their hands on the item, I ask how long will it take. If they cant give an answer, on to the next dealer or store.

Most of these online stores are drop shipping based. It basically means they don't actually own the parts they sell. When you place an order, they in turn will buy it off their supplier and have them ship it to you. Drop shipping tends to have a nasty habit of encountering backorders. Usually backorders are not common on sites that actually carry an inventory since they will usually update the item and mark it as being out of stock.

In my case it was worth the wait because I had to order it from the dealer I work at in order to get the employee discount ftw.

I got mine within 2 weeks of ordering it, from neverenoughauto. But hang in there man, it is soooo worth it, especially after it's been on the car for a while and breaks in. I get compliments on mine all the time and its just a 2.2
