so has anyone ever heard of or thought of a pontiac 3800 sc swap for one of our cars? don't get on here and bash me and *****, if i wanted to hear *****ing i would have a wife, that being said, i'm just curious, i have no intentions on doing this but it seemed like a cool idea

well, im not gonna bash you, because ive been wondering since the cobalt and the g5 are so compatibe. wonder if you could swap a g6 v6 into our balts. that'd be wild.

Seems it would be easy... as the optional engine in our cars, is the standard engine for the G6.

o yea the G6 GXP v6 engine in our balts would be beast, monster engine in a light car

Anything is possible if you have the time and money and knowledge to throw into such a project.

That being said, the physical mounting wouldn't be the issue... Its the electrical that you will want to bang your head against the wall over. These new cars do not play very nicely with engine swaps.

That being said, it'd be much easier and cheaper to build up the L61. There are tons of go fast parts for the L61.

I've mentioned it many times here on YC. I'd do it if my car wasn't a daily driver. If I keep it long enough maybe I'll do it someday.

I didnt know the Balts or G5's had an optional V6 engine package.

and it wouldnt be worth it to do a 3.4 or 3.8 swap, not at all.


neither is doing a N/A build on the 2.2 or 2.4 hahaha

i know someone in my town who drives a turbo'd 2.4 g6. it has the sexiest manifold omg
