Which DP Would Be Best?

I am wanting to put a ZZP DP on my 06 NA Cobalt, I am currently running a stock exhaust with a K&N SRI but plan on eventually upgrading to a better sounding catback system too when money will allow it. I'm just wondering if it would sound better with a catless DP or a catted DP. I live in Illinois so emission checks don't matter.

I'm not necessarily just looking for what's louder, I want a good sound too, which I'm sure that's what you're going for too. Once you get it all installed you should upload a video.

Not really as much as sounding good for me the cat back dose that already only reason I'm getting a dp cause I have a exhaust leak in my dp and want to replace it any way due to rust n such and reason for catted for emissions mostly that way I don't need to buy 2 dp's Lol plus I'm doing a full exhaust swap, header,dp, & cat back but all I need now is my header n I'll be done with it...

Plus if you looking to sound good I would also suggest getting a exhaust kit along with your dp cause your dp is only gonna produce but so much sound quality with a stock exhaust on..

If your balt is N/A grab a zzp downpipe, it's great quality and throw a gmpp muffler on it. It's made by borla, it will give ya some nice tones.

I would go catted over catless, unless your planning on making it a race type car and not your Daily Driver. Will sound a bit less raspy too.

Catless, that's what I had on my ss and loved it. Just make sure you have a resonator and muffler and it shouldn't be raspy

I have the zzp catless with the stock resonator and a magna flow muffler love it. I had no muffler for about a day way to loud for a dd IMO. Did sound good though.
