Power

hey everyone! i have decided to go turbo. But i have a few questions first, could i make 300whp off a supercharger? is it worth it over a turbo? I am looking for a daily driver. I know i have to upgrade rod/pistons with the turbo, and supercharger but is that it? Think ZZp turbo kit

Well I still haven't gotten anything from you... you can make 300whp with a tvs but not an m62. I like my turbo set up more than my supercharger. Its personal preference. Zzp kit is super expensive

This. Without internals, either route you go will not give you 300whp. I know a guy with a TVS running a 2.9in pulley and meth and put down 289whp in an Ion Redline. You can do more (with a smaller pulley and more time tuning obviously), but honestly, it is MUCH easier to make 300whp with a turbo than a Supercharger. Plus, it's actually cheaper to run a turbo setup than a supercharger, and it's an easier install.

ZZp is way to expensive. lol willing to pay 1500 for turbo kit...building the engine, i was only doing rods, and pistons. Thats all i need right?

I'm telling you right now its gonna cost more than 1500... rods and pistons are technically all you need to get it running and boosting. But if you want to rev higher than redline, you're gonna want to get valve springs and possibly neutral balance shafts. Youll need a bunch of small things to make it reliable and replace oem stuff

Just remember when building a car/engine for performance. You have 3 options but you can only choose two. Cheap, Reliable, and Fast. What 2 do you want?

Just keep that in mind when going about your build. I know this from personal experience.

If you are doing pistons and rods, are you replacing the main and rod bearings too? I personally would, but that is an extra $400. Just my opinion, others can chime in if i am way off base.

My "wishlist" on turbotech, is $1985 or something and that is just pistons, rods, rod bearings, and main bearings.i wanted to toss new valves and springs in too, but that went up to $2600ish. So bottom first, then the top a little later.
