Stock dp and aftermarket cat

Would it be a dumb idea to weld a aftermarket cat in place of the stock one or won't I get any gains from this at all I did search and found nothing on this any help will be appreciated thanks

You would be better off to just punch the stock one out instead of wasting money and time on getting a high flow cat and welding it in. Otherwise get aftermarket dp.
