Performance tuning

I have a 05 Balt 2.2l Base coupe with a cold air intake and headers. Theres a reputable tuner in the area that says he can tune my car through HP tuners. Is mine able to be tuned by HP tuners or only through trifecta? What results have you seen?

Hptuner now has all Cobalt engines in its lineup though.

Sorry to correct you man, but its header. I would agree with Leevecius and go with only Trifecta. HP Tuners is a good company, about as good as bulldog for trucks. Far as results go, maybe a few more horsies and torque, nothing too good on numbers from having a restriction on your downpipe and catback exhaust being stock. Just think about it this way. You have more air traveling inward, then going out of the engine is good, but then the diameter of your exhaust flow starts getting smaller and smaller. Easy way to picture how your engine flows, think about how water travels through tubing.

Definetly not worth it to tune a 2.2 with just what you have, get a $50 b&M shift plus which will do the majority of what the tune does. You might gain 5-10hp at best and that would be on 93 octane.

I know because I got my 07 HP tuned and was really disappointed. Now I got a dp/header I might retune and see better things but I don't know.
