Swapping a Colorado Throttle Body?

Does anyone know if swapping a Colorado 5 cylinder throttle body onto a cobalt 2.4 liter will work? Any modifications needed if so?

Well...

It's pin output based...and you'd probably need an adapter plate of some sort or RTV to seal it as I wouldn't think the I5 IM is the same as the 2.4 IM...if it is, well then awesomesauce.

Otherwise...we did a big thing on the GP forums about a year ago for the '04+ crowd that have DBW TB's like the Cobalt's....basically you need to find the factory pin-outs for both vehicles and match them...such as GTO TB's on the LS4 GP's.

Worth it? Maybe...I don't know the size of them. The thing you need to realize is: Will you benefit from it, as if this scenario is current...does your car flow enough air and is there enough restriction on the intake side to see gains from it. Just because you put a larger throttle body on a car doesn't mean you'll see a performance gain if the valvetrain can't move that much air.

LS4 or LSJ would seem like a better option unless you just came across one for free, is my guess.

The i5 TB I've found looks nothing like a LS4 throttle body.
