V8 in a Cobalt Coupe

Just thought I'd open a discussion about this since one of my buds bought a Dodge Neon with an 8-cylinder engine in it completely modified out. Would this even be possible in a Cobalt?

Anything is possible.

It's called: money.

Worth it?

No.

We just watched a video last night of a guy in Canada that put a GTO motor and RWD into his cobalt. Sounded bad ass!

What's the best-for-cheapest turbo kit I can put into my Cobalt, tbh eh, I had to buy a car when I got out of the navy within 3 days for college so I just didn't have enough time to look, the buy was kinda quick, but my cobalt lt is automatic. I bought the car for 9000$ all said and done with 61k miles on it. I bought it last August and the car has 77k on it, just thinking its really not worth upgrading, and I should buy an SS, but then again I talked with a Subaru salesman that used to work for Chevy and he told me that he wouldn't drive a cobalt SS even if it was given to him for free. Apparently he sold an SS to a kid at the dealership and the tranny blew in second gear.

He also said the stock TC are shit and should be swapped immediately.

Theres no cheap kit, so don't bother with your car. Ss trannies are known to go but its not a super common thing. If it had a more linear torque curve, that would save the tranny. Subarus are awesome

lol, this.

That SS probably blew the trans because of driver error, anyways.

Funny that an SS/TC would give a WRX/STi a decent run for it's money anyways. Not to mention it's half the price if you're going by year...you can't find a 3~ year old scoob for the price of an SS/TC anyways that hasn't been beat to sh1t and back.

There are SS SC/TC on cargurus for around 10k. That's a good price.

I'm not buying foreign cars. I will always be a passionate Chevy owner, so now my decision is on a cobalt SS or a Camaro LS and modify it
