Just went to auto zone and they said itsy 02 sensor-I'm getting more air than fuel? He said either its going bad or something wrong with my fuel pump or it just messes up sometimes. He told me there is nothing I need to worry about?

But did he give you the code number? You might have an exhaust leak at the flex pipe causing an HO2 correlation code. This because all the exhaust that goes by the first Upstream HO2 doesn't pass by the second downstream HO2.

Get that code #, it's like a map to the Holy Grail in car terms. Does your Cobalt make any unusual noises?

I'll get the code tomorrow after work. My car does not make any noises. Still quiet as ever.

So my light has finally came back on and I went straight to the auto parts store to get the code as requested.

The code I got was: P0171- mass air flow system.

So what's the tip or advise?

No, that's a system lean code. You might have a leak somewhere in the intake, make sure everything is in place and tight. Do you have original intake?
