I think it just has the "typical" auto upgrades to make it hold power. No change to gearing, final drive, etc.

If I was having it built, I'd have them throw in an LSD as well. A few are floating out there for the 4T45E.

Yeah, at the very least. I don't know too much about automatics, but I've never heard of ours blowing up from too much power, so it'd take some kind of monster build to nesitate a built one.

Well, they're rated to 320 lb-ft stock, so it's likely they can handle a little more than that.

How accurate are those ratings anyways? Getrag says the F23 is only good till 170tq but we all know it can safely take much more. Only transmission I've seen blow here was Colodude's F35. He was running a ZFR turbo and something like 350whp, and it let go on the track. Street cars will likely never see that kind of abuse anyways.

Cherry GT's turbo'd 2.4 must be making around 300ish. Had no issues with his auto that I know of yet. Pretty sure he drag races it too.

Generally what kills a trans is traction - and the axles not breaking.

It's been a while since this thread has had some activity so I will take my chances.
Of all the 2.4's that have been supercharged, are there any HP Tuner files available for starting out. The repository doesn't have anything but that doesn't surprise me much. There are 2.0 stage 2 files but I don't think that would even get me close to what's needed for the 2.4 VVT

I almost have the parts I need to supercharge the Sport. A lot of rebuilding , bead blasting and powder coating has consumed my last weeks worth of evenings.
