07 2.4 swap to 2.0?

I have ano 07 cobalt ss it's got the 2.4l motor I was wondering what all would be needed to swap a newer 2.0 tubo motor into it. Are motor mounts the same? I know I will need the newer computer and wire harness anything else?

With an 07 you're in better shape than if you had an 05-06. All mounts are the same, all sensor
wiring are the same on the engine of course the HOs will be different and you will need to import the 2.0l harness and ECM. You will need to marry the new ECM to the rest of the CPUs but should work. I assume here that your 2.4 was a manual.

It'd probably be easier to just turbo your 2.4l engine though. As long as it's in good working order, then personally, that's the route I'd go.

ZZP also has a turbo kit if you don't want to hassle of finding all the parts yourself.
