Evap leak

I just bought a 2005 Cobalt sedan with the 2.2 and it’s throwing a code for small leak detected in the evap system. Where would be a good place in starting to look for the leak and repair it?

Easiest to check is the fuel cap. Make sure it is fully tightened, maybe swap it with a known good one if you are able to get your hands on one.

If you can smell gas around the car, just follow your nose.
