Rebuilding a Honda Motor(chevy isnt too much different)

ok, so we got a car that didnt start, after pulling the motor out, i decided to rebuild it. So this thread will be my rebuild of a generic 4 cylinder motor with pics. Will do the write up tonight, and upload some pics....

ok, so here are some pics of the motor, and the process to figure out why it wouldnt start....... basic teardown to the point where i am at now.



Here's a couple motor pics just before i take off the intake





and the intake gone!



oh, there it is on the floor



Now in all the shifting and moving, i remember hearing metallic rattling in the oil pan, lets turn it over and pop the pan off......





This is what i find!!!!!!!!!

What motor is that ... seems like a SOHC honda of some sort. And damn thats a dirty motor



Mod's So Far: AEM CAI, C.A. Header, 2.50 Magnaflow Catback Exhaust , ZZP Catless Downpipe, DC Carbon Strut Bar, Dropped on Progress Springs. Tinted, Fully Debadged, Custom front SS bumper,2 Audiobahn 10" w/JL amp, Lower Billett Grille, Sengen 18 x 8 rims wrapped in Capitol Sport UHP 225/40/18.

Yes Chester, it is a SOHC motor, 1.6L Honda Civic Motor, pulled out of a 96 Civic 2 door
