Junk Yards for Parts

I want to take out my grey carpet and top, and put in black for both. Do you know if all the fits match the 2005 Cobalt LT?

Also, how do you go about getting parts? I know I need to call, but do you just ask "Hey, do you have any cobalts that you're selling parts off?" and then if they say "Yes" you just go and look and if you find anything grab it and buy it?

Also, how do you know if the fitting of things are correct between lets say they had a 2007 Cobalt SS, is there much that fits into my cobalt or should I try and stay with my year and model.

Any stories would be great.

Nice, didn't even see that thread. Ok, so that FE 3,5 Suspension, I would have to get everything listed under suspension to make it work on my LT right?

What suspension does the LT have and what makes it different from the FE 3,5?

The LS/LT's use fe1 suspension, the 2,4 uses FE3 suspension, and the SS/SC uses FE5 suspension. (i don't know what they call the SS/TC suspension, but some components are different)

IMO the only thing worth taking off an SS suspension for your ls/lt, is the struts/shocks & the front sway bar. for the rest, go aftermarket.

Just so you know, ALL interior is swappable between models. as long as the car is a sedan to a sedan and coupe to coupe. Seats are swappable throughout though.

That's a question I had...glad to know I can get SS/SC seats if I want to in the future.

Nice, thanks for the help.

Anyway to modify the engine parts, lets say turbo and all that from SS to LT?
