I too have MSR 045's...black with red pinstripe...35 offset...they fit just fine...anything offset 35 to 45 will be fine with a 225/40 tire...may be able to go 235 as well...not too sure on that though.

Yes and i would reccomend the 225 rather then the 235. Depending on your drop the 235 with anything larger than a 40 series sidewall comes extremely close to rubbing on the strut towers. I know this from experience when i orderd 235/45/18 myself

i dont know about tires i'm running coilovers so i can roll 20's with a side wall and not rub... but yes the 225 40 is probably your best overall tire size

Well when you have a 45 series sidewall on a 235, what do you expect to happen? For me (coming from 195/60 15 and 205/60 15) 225/35 18 or 235/35 18 are the closest in overall height to keep the Speedo as close as possible....however there are few tire choices and they are more expensive.

225/40 is the most common, but it's a little off on diameter.

my speedo wasnt that far off when i had my 20's.. like maybe 2 mph.. the overall diameter of the tire and what not doesnt affect the speedo as dramatically as you may think.
