Racing Harnesses

Does anybody have racing belts installed in their cobalts? My buddy has them in his 2005 Subaru STI and they are awesome! I just wonder if they can work with cobalt seats. I have the black SS leather seats. NOT the recaro seats.

Please don't install them unless your car has the balls to warrant them/ you use your car to the limit

Hater, its my car.. They give you a much better feel of the road when going around curves. Feels much more stable compared to a seat belt which you slide in. They also force you to wear your seatbelt. I have a habit of not wearing it :/

Unless it is installed properly and with the proper hardware, harnesses are worthless. If you bolt to the floor you must reinforce the attachment point. For proper installation and mximum effectiveness the attachemnt point must be no more that about 6-9 inches below the riders shoulders.
You can verify this at any race car safety website.

nitrohead some people may not want them for the reasons you think. some people dont wanna go for the "cool factor" that you think. harnesses are so much safer then reg belts.

Yeah, but if they aren't installed properly you can actually hurt yourself more than if you had a regular belt.
