those covers DO allow light thru, my friend has them on his cavalier, cant tell they're on there @ night... however, they are HARDCORE illegal in the Commonwealth of Virginia, so... we cant use them during the day because you WILL get pulled over for them, but that's in VIRGINIA (where EVERYTHING is illegal, lol)... same as w/ taillight covers, the light still shines thru, BUT illegal here in va, idk y, but it is... umm... all ya do is clip them on, there's a little tab on the bottom (you can see it in his pix) and that tab slips in between the bumper & the headlight, they'll stay on there, BUT there are little bubbles on the cover where you can put that 3M 'velcro' stuff so they'll hang on there better, i used double sided tape on mine when i had them. Uhh.. I guess that answers all ur questions, oh... and i think it will look awesome on ur car, but i like things blacked out, so thats IMO... lol... i saw them for sale & i was tempted, but wouldnt be able to use them now anyways cuz of the legalities, plus id only use them for show use, or when im out in TN or KY cuz they're legal there...... lol

I had them they were ok just had a problem with them when it came to high winds and I live in ohio so cops never bugged me even though I got pulled over for tinted windows! but anyway I ditched them because I went to the headlight mod! at night they kind of suck but you get use to them lets just say your low beems were better then your highs! lol

Here is a link to a picture when i use to have them on (second pic)

i didnt have the solid ones, i had the ones that had the actual lights cut out, kinda like a trim or w/e... i just took them off cuz i decided im gonna paint my headlights in the spring, so i sold them... my friend still has the solid ones on his cav tho, when he goes out of state & stuff, but yeah, he's gotten all kinds of tickets for them... but, thats just b/c VA cops hate modded cars & once uve been pulled over once, it seems like it doest stop... idk about CO laws tho...lol

If your referring to me its really not that bad you can see pretty good but it takes a while to get use to them. I took them off because I live in the country so it got a bit dangerous.
