I have the ccfl lights. No problems till now. Need new power inverter for the halos. But I've had them since they first came ot. About 2 years ago. The first ones are the popular ones. The nice thing about the first gens is that u can change the color of the halo

I would go for the ccfl ones. Had almost exact same ones as the second pair on my civic (came with the HID's too), and could barely see the led halos. i hated it, so i took em apart and switched the led halos for ccfl blue halos and looked sick! so when i buy headlights its gonna be the ccfl halos forsure and just go with a seperate HID kit (i have the ddm kit, i can just buy new bulbs.)
