DDM HID Mistake?

Hey guys,

Okay so I ordered the ddm HID hi/lo 35w kit, 8000k bulbs for my stock cobalt housings. I get the kit, install it with no problems then turn them on. They appear very white with pretty much no blue in them. I have had 6000k on y old car, and these looked EXACTLY as white maybe a very small difference. I called them up and they were asking what I was comparing to blah blah and that I can't compare to other companies etc. Also, if i wanted to upgrade to 10 000k to go more blue, i would have to pay shipping there and back, which would come to like $30. The kit ws under $100 when all said and done with. Also, i feel they messed up the bulb color and its not my fault. So now i don't want to have to pay shipping back, but i really wanted some blue in my headlights. So anyone know 1) how much blue is in the 8000k ddm hid bulbs, and 2) if theres another place I could buy hi/lo bulbs that will fit the ddm kit but will be cheaper for me (ddm wanted like $55 plus shipping for new bulbs only)

Were the bulbs labeled as 8000k? I have 6000k (not DDM) and they are pure white with a hint of blue...I'd imagine 8 would be noticably bluer...

exactly! But i didn't see any labelling on the bulbs! I'm gonna try and look again later, sometimes they put the labelling on the bulb wires.

Yeah 6k color is pretty much white. Maybe a hint of blue. How much is it to get just 10k bulbs?

well i have the invoice and everything qith 8000k marked as bulb color. But im like 90% sure these are not 8000k. And the guy told me that for new 10 000k bulbs that are hi/lo, I would have to send the old ones back and pay shipping (around $30) or to order only hi/lo bulbs it's something like $55 and i doubt that's with shipping.
