Question About Installing a Shorty Antenna

Doesnt the old antenna just unscrew? I gave it a bit of a snug with a wrench and it didnt wanna unscrew. I didnt wanna try harder as I dont wanna mess anything up. I felt the underside of the antenna assembly and it felt like the whole thing was moving so I stopped. I just woke up from the UPS guy coming here and am half asleep, so I might just be over looking something lol.

my antenna did the SAME thing, so i wasted my money on a shorty. the WHOLE thing turns & i cant get a good grip on the bottom so i can hold it. I just took a dremmel to mine & cut the factory antenna off to where its only about 2 inches high... lol... i gave my shorty to my sister to put on her truck. HAHAHA... but yeah, sounds like urs is doing the same that mine did...

Mine just unscrewed. Got it a little loose with a wrench then I finished it by hand. It really wasn't that bad. Idk what your is doing.

yeah my '08 unscrewed real easy. just took a pair of needle nose pliers and gave it a little twist then did it by hand. if its stuck make sure you dont twist to hard or you can break the weld holding the entire assembly onto the car.

'08 coupe special edition, blue bowties, red streetglow footwell LED's, red razo race pedals, custom build SRI, pioneer avh-p3100dvd headunit, shorty antenna, Kicker 07DS600 speakers, cobalt 3rd brake light decal
