r u sure there are aftermarket wheels avaliable? most modern cars dont have options for aftermarket wheels, and ive never heard of ones that will work w/out serious modification

Check your local laws. Unless you replace with an airbag wheel you can get ticketed, removal of a safety device. Be patient, Grant Steering wheels is making replacement aftermarket airbag wheels, already have some for the trucks.

^yeh you can't just throw an aftermarket steering wheel on there, you'll have to wait until someone comes out with airbag wheels, and even then, not sure if there will be cobalt specific ones, which means you're in for some heavy modification...

maybe for steering wheel controls or likes the look of the other style oem wheel. As for aftermarket, you usually need an adapter plate which I am not sure if someone makes for the cobalt. I think there is one for the Ion which may be close. Another problem with aftermarket is no air bags. If you were to get in an accident and get injured due to the fact, you auto insurance will not cover the bills.

i was just wondering what the op thought. seems like a lot of effort for not much return IMO.
you obviously know you can do other mods to help with the "feel" of the car.
