I'm sure you all have had your steering wheel audio/cruise control bulbs burn out. I did some research only to be told you have to replace the whole switch. Seems like a waste since the bulb and base twist out of the back of the switches. I'm not sure if those are replaceable with LED's or not but I found some standard incandescent replacements. T-1 base, 12v power and 3mm size. The ones I ordered are no longer stocked by this company but they do list a replacement. 7219 - CEC INDUSTRIES - INCAND LAMP, WIRE LEADS, T-1, | Newark

The ones I bought also seem to run a little warm. Perhaps I should see if there are different wattages in this size. Or try to find out what wattage the stock ones were. In any case, I have 14 more bulbs to use up before I look for an alternative.

has anyone installed LED's in these switches?
