I run 6000k. Which seems to be the most popular.

"3000k" Yellow light has a wavelength range of 570-580 nanometers, making it highly visible in the absence of natural sunlight, such as during cloudy or inclement conditions. Yellow light has long been utilized in fog light technology for its property of minimizing glare against snow, rain, or watery/icy roads. Perfect for fog lights as a contrast to stock or other colored headlight. I use yellow in my fog lights, headlights low beams, and 4500k in my high beams. After 4500k you actually start losing lumes.

I use 3000K personally since it mixes with my 4300K to render the light better. Also helps in heavy rain on new blacktop where the low beams just seem to get soaked up into the road.
