Flip Forward Hood

I have been wanting to do a flip forward hood on my cobalt for awhile now. Duffy said he was working on a setup but never heard of or seen a finished product. I noticed today that Bad Girl from CA has a motorized flip forward hood. I was wondering if anyone knew of a kit that was made for the cobalt. All i have been able to find are kits to place a hinge on the front to make it open backwards but not go forward.

Take the hood arms from a junkyard corvette, make a custom bracket, and weld it where ever it fits or you see fit. That's what comes to mind for me. lol

I've seen it done on cobalts, but you'd have to one off the hinges.

seems like it would be a pita to work on your engine with a flip forward. looks neat, but not very practical to me.

I would only use it for show purposes. For maintenance I would like to have some way to just disconnect the hood easily.

I think you could be onto something with that idea.
