Red Tach at Redline?

Is there anyway to make the Tach lighting go red at redline? I've seen a mustang on youtube do it and I know it sounds lame but I think it would be amusing anyways.

I was thinking red l.e.d's behinde the tach(duh) but how would you wire them to light when it hits redline?

Install an aftermarket shift light if you desire that option.

Or just have the dealer enable it.

Or just have it be a different color near redline? Have your take up to 6300 be one color and from 6300 or so up be red.

well I dont know how to make it light up at a certain RPM lol, like is there a switch or something to wire it to? I'm completely lost here, would there be a sensor to wire an L.E.D to that indicates RMP to the computer?

well I'm gonna look into it some more and let you all know what I come up with
but for those who still dont get what I mean...

I want the needle and numbers to be the normal colour but the second I hit like 6500rpm(or so) have the needle and number backing go red you know what I mean?

You might want to have it change colors at 5,000 instead of 6,500. You would enjoy it more because it would trip more often. That and if you spend a lot of time tripping 6500 you won't have your car very long.

engine go boom.
