License Plate Lamp Housing

I had a led strip light over my license plate. Got pulled over, now am trying to replace it. Can anyone on here tell me where i could buy the oem Lamp and housing to replace it with?

What did you do with the original? I agree,, junkyard is best. New at dealer is about $52.00.

the previous owner, (kind of numb) just cut it out, and threw it :p

You can get a OEM style plate light at any auto parts stores. Your LEO's must be uber anal retentive, was the plate at least lit and viewable?

haha that light couldn't have lit anything else better if it tried! it looked sick and it lit it up very well.

Is the LED strip shining on the plate or is it projecting outward? I know some states are wierd about that.

PA only requires it to be illuminated. There isn't specifics.

PA also states the license plate light can't illuminate the ground only the license plate. I got pulled over for violating that law
