I would VHT but i don't want to have them real dark. I want them like in that ebay link. Also if the police dont like them or some reason, I can just switch back to the regular ones

You can do them light. Mine are just a little darker than those and I have a couple coats of VHT. If you just do one it'll come out like that. Plus it's easy to get off

Do you have to sand the tail light before you apply the nite shade?

No just clean them extremely well and make sure they're completely dry and don't have any dust or lint or anything on em before you start spraying. It really is quite easy

If I did nite shade them I don't want them black. I just want them to have a little tint to them because cops around here suck. I would want the tail lights to come clear if I ever had to take it off. One light coat is all I would probably use. Did you put clear coat on the after?

I would want them to look pretty much like those ebay ones

I'de go the e-bay ones & keep your stock ones in case things don't work out. If it doesn't.. you would have the professionally tinted ones to sell....

woah woah. dude do them right. sand them. itll last longer, and look more professional. Its just a little bit more work that makes alot of difference trust me. You use clear coat after VHT and that $hitll shine real pretty. But 09cobalt is right about one thing, one coat will give you a real light smoke look. If you want help theres a how to in the DIY forums. Or PM me and ill walk you through it.

Thats something I don't really wanna do. I don't want to sand them. If I had an extra set laying around I would do that but I think I'll buy the ebay ones tonight. Nite shade would definately be what I would do but with not having an extra set, I don't want to gamble with it. Just like my headlights. I was gonna paint them black but again, I don't want to gamble and take a chance on cracking something.
