this is all i could find on ebay right this second:
06 HHR STEERING WHEEL WITH CRUSE CONTROLS | eBay

would work, still cheaper just find the radio control module if you want it i'll do some searching and find a good price

if you confident you could just wire the modules to your current steering wheel possibly
2009 Cobalt SS Steering Wheel Radio Controls + Trim Plates 9 | eBay
and sell the module you don't use for 20-25 where you'd only have around 40 in it,i can't say it will for sure work but it's worth a try

That ought' to give you some things to think about if i remember right the corvette also used the same steering wheel but you'd end up paying more so look towards cobalt,g5,or HHR

---------- Post added at 11:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:07 AM ----------

They are the same. plug and play, mines from an HHR and plugged right in same with the g5 one of the advantages of a chevrolet it used to be fords would have different parts on the same car for the same year and you'd have to know what factory your ford came from and what time of year it was made but this was back in the 70-80s

i might take it apart here and see if there is a plug for the radio controls because thats all i need/want i already have cruise. if not i dont wanna play around in there with connecting wires behind the airbag. anywhere else i wouldnt mind splicing and whatnot. but i will check and see what i have in there behind the bag. thanks for the help. That HHR wheel would make me vomit while i was driving. that color is god awful

If you have cruise, you should be wired for steering wheel radio controls (from the steering column to the radio). You can confirm pretty easily.

1. Disconnect your neg. battery terminal and wait at least 5 minutes, making absolutely sure the reserve airbag power has discharged.
2. Put your steering wheel in the lowest position to give yourself some room.
3. Remove the upper steering wheel shroud. It's the top plastic piece right behind your wheel. It takes a little muscle, so just apply even pressure to both sides and pull it up, sliding it out. You'll see the reverse side of the SIR coil, which is the bigger plug in the middle.
4. The 2 wires you're looking for are Dark Blue and White/Black.

If you see them, you're good to go. You will, however, need the steering wheel harness/switch with the audio control plug. You could probably order one for pretty cheap and just install it in your current wheel. As to your earlier question, there is just one plug from the steering wheel to the SIR coil.

Please review safety instructions before doing any steering wheel work.

To the best of my knowledge, if it's '07-'10 you should be golden (FYI I drive an 08 LT and it was a direct swap). '06 and earlier were the 4-spokes. I just got mine in and I seriously love it. Makes the car feel so much nicer. I picked mine up from Chevrolet Cobalt Ebony Leather Steering Wheel OEM NEW | eBay

I got the steering wheel without the radio controls but with cruise. I have the pioneer factory system. Will/DID this wheel you got off of ebay swap right out and plug right in to your LT? Mine is also a 2008. Thanks for your help!
