Scratch Question

Hey all, I have a key scratch two questions whens the best time to fix it, would the winter be good? And also its a deep scratch any ideas?

if u can feel the scratch with your finger nail, it will pretty much have to be repainted.... if its only a surface scratch, theres a chance u could just sand it with some 2000 grit wet sant paper and rebuff it out. u might wanna take to a body shop if u dont know wut ur doing, just saying

Seeing a close-up picture would help. Is the scratch just in the clear coat or deeper? You can't buff out a deep scratch like that, but you can make it near-invisible with a buffer provided it's only in the clear coat. Wet sanding should be a last resort. If you have to go that far, it's probably time to repaint...
