Halo Headlights

with halo headlights... is the halo that you see in the pictures the actual light output or just for show? are the halos visible all the time or what? sorry for the dumb question i just cant seem to find the answer to this.

most are wired to come on with the lights(either DRL, just parking lights, with fogs if car has fogs), output varies if you are asking that. CCFL rings are very bright and better than ones with LEDs in the ring

you're right lol, gen 3s are mostly LED style, some come in CCFL form. I like the 3's just not the placement of the 3 leds in them or any for that matter .

Has anyone else had any problems with the halos causing fires? That's the only hesitation I have with replacing my Gen 4's with 3's or 2's....Is there any wiring involved with the halo's and led's, or is it just Pnp?

*sigh* Lol my car fire has a lot of newbs scared to try aftermarket headlights now. I can't say 100% what caused my car fire but it looks to be the inverter box for my CCFL halo rings. It looks like it was a manufacturers defect. Don't stress it guys, If you are going to buy aftermarket lights you are more than likely safe.
