Cool Cathode Lights

Alright, this next weekend I want to try and install some type of light effects on my interior. I don't care about it reacting to sound just yet, but maybe later? I'm not sure what I should go with.
It's between LED lights, or a cathode light.
I really like how the cathodes look but what do you guys think? any ideas or advice on wiring it up? It's going right underneath the passanger and driver's side dash board.
Can anyone give me a link to some good LED Lighting kits or some good cathode kits? I REALLY like the prices on the cathode kits lol.

As far as I know cathode is an energy saving bulb for use in your home.

I doubt these would look even close to good in your car, not sure if they're made for automotive use, also, I doubt they are as power economical as LED's.
Cold-Cathode on the other hand is closer to Neons.

So in short to answer your question, LED is the answer.

The thread Coby linked is one I started, for one I can tell you it has so much information you can use for adding LEDs to your car, as a matter of fact, in the styling section, I believe its the thread with the most replies, its full of information, it does not mention anything to do with your question, but for LED mods, it has tons of information, take a look and you will see.
