Exclamation I Broked It :( Hit a Mailbox, Need Help Unjamming My Passenger Door

Hi all!

I havent been here in a while but if not to much has changed you all will be the great source of info you always have been! Now to my problem... I hit a mailbox because I wasn't paying attention to the road one morning... unfortunately the mailboxes in my neighborhood are made out of large rail road ties... so while the mailbox went away just bent to the side(fixed now), my poor cobalt now has a large dent on the passenger side running from the hood to the rear door... parts are easy to find but the first order of business is to make my passenger door open. I think its just jammed but i figured id spray some wd40 in the mechanism then if it still wont open I'll take the inside panel off and see if I can disassemble the mechanism from the inside. Any other ideas??

Thanks!

Don't you hate when those mail boxes step in front of your car?!
You can't remove the door panel with the door closed.
Jump in the passenger seat, pull the door handle and give a good shoulder.

does the handle feel like it has no weight to it when you try to open it?
