4dr Tail Lights to 2dr Tail Lights

Has anyone tried to change the rear bumper and trunk lid on a 4door and swap it with a 2door bumper and trunk lid? If so, did it work out well? Was is difficult to switch the parts? I'm thinking of doing it to look a little different, but I don't want to spend the money if the parts don't fit...

They don't fit. Trunk lid on 2 door is shorter. Bumper cover aren't the same lenght and angle of fender is all wrong. But when you do this to yours, hope you'll put up pictures. It should look something like this.

Than get ready to spend a looot of money in bodyshops...Also, if what you going to do is spend money, you do no need the trunk lid, nor the bumper..just the lights ...the rest leave it for the bodyshop "Artist"...basically they will cut the lights area off and re make with fiber glass....I have not seen it on Cobalts, but ive seen in done in many hondas to get Lexus tail lighs.....My personal experience I had an Acura Integra 1997 and I had the Honda S2000 taillights installed on it....I will look for pictures and upload in a bit (Since i know someone will say "Pictures or not true "

OK Here is the picture of the tail lights in the car...(Despite the backgrounds, that was taken at Tijuana Mexico :P)
