Dyeing Black Exterior Trim.

Is anyone familiar with the dyeing of faded trim, you know the black trim around the window area? I'm just curious as to what is used and how it is done. Is the process similar to the process at the factory?

The dyeing I know of is for the cloth material. For trim you can just take it off and spray it.

Respray it with what? Is it what they use originally when making the car? Any particular brands?

I'm referring to the black rubber trim that goes right around the windows.
