hid by the long shot. Hid will produce way more light and be more of a true yellow color, While on the other hand then piaa are less yellow and not as bright. Hid's are more expensive but do it right the first time and you'll be happy!

30 years ago PIAA made good products, now I wouldn't put it in a Chrismas tree.
