Painted valve cover

Here's a look at the beginning of my engine dress up.

I wanted to give it a nice clean look. So I painted it a silverish color. Looks polished. What do you thibk?:

You know the spout on the valve cover can be removed so the cap sits closer to the valve cover if you're not going to use the engine cover anymore.

I actually had no idea. I was going to take it off to paint, but I felt like I might break it and got scared lol

Looks good to me. What paint did you use? Did you sand? Use any clear?

I used a high heat paint, I don't remember what brand. I used carb cleaner and a wire brush to clean it up. I didn't use clear.
