How to smooth out touch up paint

Well I user touch up paint on some chips I had in the paint. It looks a lot better now, but you can tell I have touched it up because the clear coat is uneven with the surface. Who can I smooth it out?

wetsand the touchup with 600 or higher grit sandpaper, then buff it with glazing compound
