3rd Gen Projectors Glare

Hello Everyone,

I Just recently became more active on this form again since Ive gotten a bit of $$ and doing some upgrades. I purchased 3rd gen from HERE.

I searched for glare issues. I found one with a Squirrel spotter thing to be removed, but mine don't have that. Looked inside, left right, up down, front view. there is just the cutoff shield, no screw, but I still have glare with my HID's.

Any ideas how to fix this? I can get pics tonight

The glare looks just like the image with the squirrel spotter from Here

I have a similar problem, only my glare is coming from the light reflecting back off of my headlight housing. I recently purchased a "husky shield" plastic film that protects headlights, sort of like a phone screen protector in hopes that it will take some of that glare away. Ill will be putting them on when I get some spare time and i will let you know if it helped any.

I just searched that up. If you're producing more then enough light you could always tint them a shade. Not sure if its legal, but you can purchase smoked headlights.

From my research its looking like I may have to bend the cutoff a tad, but not sure which way

I have gen3 and mine had the screw and cutoff piece in them.
Remove screw and shake until screw and cutoff piece comes out of housing,
no more glare. Actually I only did my drivers side cause the passenger side works
great for lighting up high road signs

I do t know what gen I have, but mine werent aligned right at first. I just loosened the boots that secure the headlight to the bracket thing, and had my brother hold the headlight exactly where I want it while I tighten the bolts down again. Now they have a nice cut off and no glare.

Yeah there is nothing in there, its just a clean cutoff, ive seen pics of what it looks like with the squirrel spotter thing. Im trying to get in contact with them now to see about solutions, but its looking like i may have to send them back. I purchased them to not blind people lol

Swan, yeah i have them aligned, but the glare is coming from on top of the cutoff
