LED Projector

Found this online when looking for LED Based headlights: New 90mm LED Projector Headlights - Other - J.W. Speaker Corporation

Be interesting if they could be fitted to an existing projector style headlight or retrofitted into a housing. I did inquire as to how much...$144 each, not available in pairs.

I would like to read more info on these. Dimensions? It looks like you could just bolt them onto anything. They could be used as fog lights maybe?

Here's the spec sheet. Looking at them it appears to be more of a replacement for the lenses that are in current projector housings. Or if designed right to be bolted "onto anything" as you say. That same company has LED fog lights as well. This particular light they say is both high and low beams in one.

I was thinking that there are two different housings for high and low beams. I do wish they listed the lumen output though.

They give the "candella" output which is the lumens here: Headlights - Products - J.W. Speaker Corporation

I just wish they weren't so expensive :(

The candela is not the same as lumens. It is measured in completely different ways and can't be converted accurately without knowing the angle of the beam.

But they do seem pretty nice.

we need the apex angle in degrees to calculate candela to lumens.
