Car Amp Question (for Subwoofer)

hello guys,

so in my cobalt the speakers are blown/getting there, and eventually or in the next couple weeks i want to put in new speakers, subwoofer and an amp.

my questions is what is the best amp to get, out here in canada there is this audio and video store and they sell all this stuff, right now i see 3 sections for amps...

- Mono Subwoofer Amp
- 2 Channel Amp
- Multi Channel Amp

which is better, if you need to know anything else feel free to ask,

thanks!

It all depends on how your gonna use the amp..
And what speakers your gonna hook up.
Mono/2 channels are for sub woofers
Multi channel is for running full range and a sub...

Sure into the stereo stuff big time

And far warn ya the rear speakers to get to are a bitch
You have to take your whole interior back apart...
Most will cut the rear deck so they won't have to do that in the future..

No your good that's what I had at first just a RCA convert to your rear speakers..but a big sound improvement if ya do...but otherwise stay stock..

Sorry, RCA converter from your rear speakers to your amp..and the nice thing is your battery is in the trunk so easily run a wire to your amp..but watch out to much power and your lights will start to dim..I did the big 3 upgrade and improved my electrical system big time..looking for an amp if your just getting on for a sub audiopipe amps are very nice and fairly priced good..but highly recommend JL audio but pricey and worth it...

I've got a clarion 1000.1 If interested?

Not much into the sub amp combo's but yeah those work..and should work with your stock system just have to add the RCA converter and maybe a bass filter also..
When I did my 1st step up my bass amp over powered my stock sound...now I've got a good sounds stage ..I hit around 150db

And when ya get your rear speakers if your having someone else do it..be prepared to spend what ya paid for the speakers is the cost of the install...
If sonic electronics is a good place online to buy and a also 3 kings audio or very good..
