Cobalt SS Rear Lip Q

I have read that you can and cant put the cobalt ss rear lip on a cobalt lt's rear bumper. I just want to get to the bottom of it. Can it be done? What modifications would you have to do to the LT rear bumper if any? Please help.

Line it up and mark the slots that need to be cut then buy the clips that hold it on.

^^this. Just be sure to put it in the right place. Too high or too low and you'll have fitment issues. Also, you'll need new wheel well liners. The ones on the SS accommodate the lip trailing down lower to the ground

Well you don't need then it'll just be an open space, unfortunately that's what mine has.

brand new liners are under $23 a piece! Part Detail

I just though about this though. I'm not sure if the the push-clip holes along the wheel well lip are in the same locations for the non-ss bumper. I replaced mine but I also replaced the entire rear bumper. I guess if they aren't in the same spot, you could drill new holes.

Because I put in the ss model on the site. To double check, I put my vin of my LS in and looked up the same part, it's a different part number than these. Also, this is the site I ordered mine from.
