12v ports/cigarette lighter ports

Does anyone know if the power to these power ports turns off after the car is turned off? I noticed my cell phone charger remains lit even with the car off. I don't want to risk killing the battery.

Don't think your cell phone charger is going to kill your battery. If it does you needed a battery anyway.

Unless you rewire it, they're both on all the time. Pretty easy to wire one to be an accessory outlet though.

i wouldn't worry about it too much, ive always had one plugged in in every one of my vehicles.. It would take quite a while for that little light to drain the battery enough to cause the car to not start...
