It's a Strut Tower Bar. I have the ZZP one on my car.

on other cars yes, but on the cobalts the strut towers are on the firewall so its really just cosmetic because the firewall is already doing what the brace would do

those do almost nothing for basic suspension work. They claim during cornering, it stabilizes both sides of the strut mount for even pull. It only "works" when you have every suspension upgrade possible to keep that car tight on cornering. Otherwise, its beautiful engine decoration

Nope it doesn't ever do anything on a cobalt. Cars like mustangs where the strut towers are out in the middle of the engine bay it'll stiffen it up but with the fire wall connecting the strut towers they don't do anything at all even with every other suspension upgrade.
